Rick Rahn
Area Director
Growing up in a strong Christian household was a tremendous blessing in Rick’s life. At the age of nine, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior — a decision that has remained steadfast through every season.
Rick attended Western Illinois University, where God introduced him to Pam, his wife of 39 years. Together, they raised two sons, Evan and Caleb, and are grateful for their daughters-in-law, Haley and Savanna. Rick is a proud grandfather to Joshua and Jordan, with another grandson expected in mid-February 2026.
Coaching has always been close to Rick’s heart. He cherished the opportunity to coach his boys in football, baseball, and basketball through their younger years. Those seasons strengthened his belief in the powerful impact coaches and mentors have in shaping lives.
Rick also has a deep appreciation for God’s creation. Whether camping, hiking, hunting, or fishing, time outdoors reminds him of the greatness and faithfulness of the Lord.
After earning a degree in Law Enforcement Administration, Rick began a 35-year career in law enforcement. He first served with the Burlington Police Department before joining the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation’s Major Crime Unit. Through God’s guidance, Rick and his family settled in the Quad Cities for nearly three decades.
Following his retirement from law enforcement, Rick felt a clear calling to step into full-time ministry. He now serves as Area Director for Mississippi Valley FCA and looks forward to building relationships with coaches, athletes, and supporters throughout the region.
Rick is excited to share stories of impact, highlight ministry opportunities, and partner with others to advance God’s Kingdom through FCA.
