FCA Area Rep

Area Representative in Louisa and Muscatine counties with the Mississippi Valley Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I Joined FCA staff in November 2021 and serve campus huddles in Muscatine and Wapello where I minister to coaches and athletes. My family includes my wife Michelle, and two children, Matthew and Kenadee.

Area Representative

I am a 1994 graduate of Columbus Community High School in Columbus Junction, Iowa, where I participated in football, basketball, track, and baseball. I have coached youth sports and obtained my coaching authorization in 2020.

I attended Indian Hills Community College and Buena Vista University where I doubled majored in Political Science and Psychology, graduating in 1998.

I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior in 2002 at my home church of Calvary Church in Muscatine, Iowa where my family and I currently attend and serve in various ministries.

My journey with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes began in 2015 as I began to volunteer as a huddle coach.

In November 2020, FCA reached out to me and asked me to start praying and considering an opportunity to enter fulltime ministry with them. After months of prayer and conversations with my wife, Michelle, we decided to take a step of faith and apply for an area representative position within the FCA Mississippi Valley .

During the evening of Thursday, February 4, 2021, I completed my application process with FCA and hit "send", not knowing what God had in store for my family and FCA. Three days later, on Sunday, February 7, I was serving at Calvary during a Super Bowl party for high school students. During a pick-up game of football with high school freshman I tore my Achilles tendon. A complete rupture of the tendon!

I knew while being treated for my injury and while sitting in the emergency room that night I was heading into ministry.

On November 1, 2021, I was hired by FCA as an Area Representative within the Mississippi Valley. I serve coaches and athletes within Louisa and Muscatine Counties including Winfield and Durant. With the mission to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
